Senior EDRMS Systems Administrator (Content Manager)

Cleared Recruitment is partnering with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to source an experienced Senior EDRMS Systems Administrator to support DFAT’s enterprise information and records management capability.

This is a Canberra‑based, on‑site role supporting DFAT’s global Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) environment and is suited to a senior ICT specialist with strong Content Manager and infrastructure experience.


Role Details

  • Experience Level: Senior (EL1 equivalent)
  • Location: Canberra, ACT
  • Working Arrangements: On‑site, 5 days per week (remote or interstate candidates will not be considered)
  • Estimated Start Date: 22 June 2026
  • Initial Contract: 12 months
  • Extensions: Up to 2 x 12‑month extensions
  • Security Clearance: Must hold or be able to obtain Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2)
  • Hours: Up to 40 hours per week

About the Role

The role sits within DFAT’s Information Management Section in the Data and Service Delivery Governance Branch. The team is responsible for enterprise information governance, records management, and the operation of DFAT’s EDRMS, supporting staff across Australia and at posts worldwide.

DFAT is seeking a highly skilled EDRMS Technical Administrator with deep expertise in Content Manager, infrastructure support, and system integration. The role works closely with ICT teams to manage EDRMS servers, replication to overseas posts, and the ongoing stability and enhancement of the EDRMS environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support DFAT’s Content Manager EDRMS at an enterprise level
  • Manage servers and replication of centralised EDRMS functions to global posts
  • Troubleshoot complex application, system, and network‑related issues impacting EDRMS
  • Provide advice on system upgrades, documentation, and change requests
  • Support application interfaces and integrations with EDRMS
  • Maintain system performance, availability, and security in a global operating environment
  • Contribute to technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Participate in an after‑hours on‑call roster (including weekends and public holidays, up to 80 days per year)

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience supporting, configuring, and developing the Content Manager application
  • Strong experience integrating business applications with Content Manager
  • Solid experience with Microsoft operating systems, including configuration, maintenance, and patching
  • Experience with virtualisation platforms such as:
    • VMware vSphere
    • Nutanix AHV
    • Citrix Workspace
  • Qualification in Information Technology, Information Management (Certificate IV, Diploma, Degree), or equivalent demonstrated experience
